Car Feature: Honda Civic Ek4
Dean Reddy bought his EK4 Civic as a sensible daily while he concentrated on his Mk2 golf, which he is in the process of doing a ground up rebuild on. Looking at this car I'm glad he got a bit sidetracked and I bet he is to as it recently got him a magazine feature in one of the UK's big modified car magazines.
looking at the spec list of this car I don't think Dean has left anything untouched, it looks like a wish list of parts that anyone would be happy to have on there civic.
Spec list here:
Engine & Transmission:
Mfactory carbon intake
DC Sports 4-2-1 stainless steel manifold
De-cat

Ap Dixcel Discs with type ‘z’ pad
Exterior:

De-badged
Smoothed front bumper
Hid 6000k light
Interior:
EK9 red Recaros

EK9 gear gaiter
One off gear knob

Dean tells me that over the three years he has owned the car it has had a different look every year but this look is the best yet. This is apparently the first ever 6th gen Civic to wear a set of OZ Turbos which is pretty cool to know your the only one and your doing something fresh.
When building this car Dean spared no expense and when for the best parts available, all of the exterior parts are genuine Ek9 Jap spec parts so no cheap copies or fakes to be found on this car and it shows to.
So now we all have to lay in wait and see what his Mk2 golf turns out like, I'm sure it will be a stunner just like this.

Scion XB
This is one of the first modded Scion XB's i have ever seen and i like it allot. The all black VIP styling and the low slung boxy shape really makes it stand out from the norm.
The interior has been fully kitted out with all of the VIP mods nickoli could throw at it making for one of the most spectacular interiors i have seen. The full leather TRD seats accompanied by the VIP table installed on the dash, crystal center console control knobs and a BBS steering wheel with wood inlay really makes for an interesting interior.
The show stopping ride height is achieved using a Tien suspension setup up front and a Cusco rear setup complete with custom air shocks on the rear. While the stance is taken car of by a set of Diamond racing steels 15x8 with ET+12 up front and -12 out back all wrapped in 155/60/15 rubber.
All this ties in for one of the most stand out VIP'ed rides ever.
If you want to see more pics here's a link to his flickr account http://www.flickr.com/photos/fittedxb/
First car feature
So here is my first attempt at my own car feature.
Now i have never really liked the mk4 golf but Marcin Markiewicz's 2003 20th Anniversary edition GTI No.3214 of 4000 really stood out for me.
Engine wise he's running a 6 speed 1.8T with a full turbo back stainless exhaust system and cold air intake which makes for an amazing soundtrack and to please the eyes the inlet manifold, valve cover and fuel rail have all been fully polished.
To achieve the awesome stance of this golf Marcin used a set of Vmaxx coilovers which give him all the lows he need, but the sway bar was not agreeing with the ride heigh to that had to go. To perfect the stance the arches have been rolled for that extra clearance and he's running a set of fully polished BBS RS which he did himself and turned out stunningly. Out back he's running 17x10 ET20 with 10mm spacers and wrapped in 225/45/17 Falken 512's for the perfect amount of stretch and up front they are 17x9 ET17 with 5mm spacers wrapped in 215/45/17 Falken 512's to finish of the perfect stance combination.
To finish off the true OEM+ look he has added a set of OEM euro stubby mirrors and retained the standard set of Recaros to hold him tight when he needs it.
Here's how it sat on Marcin's previous set of wheels, a set of Work VS-ZF's again wrapped in Falken 512's. Looks amazing on both sets of wheel's i feel and all together he has managed to build one of the best looking Mk4 golfs ive seen.
Well thats it for my first feature hope you liked. More to come so come back soon.

Bosozoku styled first gen celica
Found this on the speedhunters blog, a perfectly executed bosozoku styled celica. With the mismatched wheels and the extended arches this car cant help but stand out from the crowd.
The 14x10 ET-38 and the 14x11 ET-38 wheels called for a substantial drop gained from a set of Koni coilovers, which leave this Celica sitting pretty.
The engine has been fully rebuilt using a multitude of parts obtained mainly from japan and all the hard work has made for a very clean looking engine bay complete with a set of twin 45 Webber's.
Oh and the brakes are from a Peugeot 604.
Videos
Just got a message back from someone i messaged about getting a video made for the blog which will be sweet and hopefully should be up before christmas.
If you think your car is worth leave a comment and i'll get back to you .
